Newcastle 0-0 Everton Highlights
English Premier League
February 22nd, 2009
Kevin Nolan’s sending off was the main talking point of a largely uninspiring draw that does little to help either side’s respective ambitions.
Newcastle midfielder Nolan was rightly dismissed for a horror tackle on Victor Anichebe just prior to half time.
Phil Jagielka and Jack Rodwell both missed good chances as Everton failed to make their greater possession count.
Newcastle’s best chance fell to Peter Lovenkrands in the first half but he shot wide with only the keeper to beat.
THIS SEASON’S REVERSE FIXTURE
5 October 2008 – Ref: Howard Webb
Everton scorers: Arteta 17 pen, Fellaini 35
Newcastle scorers: Taylor 45, Duff 47
