Pavel Nedved was also just off target late on, but Chelsea held on to win.
It is the second successive victory for the new Chelsea coach Guus Hiddink, the other one was the victory over Aston Villa on Saturday.

a solid effort, no goal conceeded is important, would have been nice to get another, but we’ll take the win…need to tighten up at the back in Torino, but it has been obvious for quite some time they miss Essien….
