A slip by Kieran Gibbs allowed Ji-Sung Park to slot in for United before Cristiano Ronaldo lashed in a 40-yard free-kick to leave the Gunners stunned.

Earlier this season on 8 November 2008, Arsenal beat Manchester United 2-1 at the Emirates Stadium courtesy of two goals by Samir Nasri. After that match, United went on a streak of 14 consecutive clean sheets in the Premier League.
Arsenal have never progressed from a European tie against another English club. They lost 3-2 on aggregate against Chelsea in a 2003-04 CL quarter-final and lost 5-3 on aggregate to Liverpool at the same stage last season.
