Kazakhstan 0-4 England Highlights
World Cup
June 6th, 2009
England survived an early scare to ease past Kazakhstan and keep their 100% World Cup qualification record intact.
Striker Sergey Ostapenko almost tapped in on 19 seconds and then his headed goal was ruled out for offside.
England scored twice before half-time with Gareth Barry nodding in Steven Gerrard’s cross from the left and Emile Heskey poking in after Gerrard’s shot.
Wayne Rooney hooked in an acrobatic third, before Frank Lampard scored a penalty after Heskey was bundled over.
0-1 Barry 39′
0-2 Heskey 45′
0-3 Rooney 72′
0-4 Lampard (Pen) 77′
