Michael Owen scored his first goal for Manchester United as they bounced back from their defeat at Burnley to thump Wigan with a flurry of late goals.

United wasted a host of chances before Rooney headed home Antonio Valencia’s cross – his 100th goal for the club.

    i agree! where is his diving and positioning??? he made no effort in both. maybe he was scared his cap may drop off when he dived or stretch his hand!

    What an awesome goal by Owen….No doubt!!!! He is awesome tooo.  It was a good answer from Owen to his critics.  Sir Alex Ferguson have the correct decision signing Owen.

    good result but stil not a fully convincing perfore and were under pressure for large sections of game wigan shud have been 2 up before we scored
