Chelsea 2-1 Liverpool Stats and Highlights

Chelsea reduced the gap between themselves and league leaders Arsenal to two points with a fine performance against a Liverpool side which slipped to fifth in the EPL table.

The visitors were ahead within four minutes as Martin Skrtel tapped in.

But parity was restored when Eden Hazard rifled in from distance.

Chelsea deservedly went ahead in a frenetic match when a Samuel Eto’o shot crept underneath Simon Mignolet but the visitors did have chances to level.

A Mamadou Sakho header struck the crossbar, while Luis Suarez was denied what seemed like two strong penalty appeals with first John Terry and then Eto’o felling the striker.
