Calum Chambers got the merest glance with the forehead, and the ball drifted in at the far post beyond the diving Simon Mignolet.

Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain responds with an individual goal of his own, dancing in from the left before whipping in a shot that deceives Simon Mignolet, who really ought to have saved it.

Sadio Mane bursts away down the right, then puts the foot on the accelerator to dash between Nacho Monreal and Calum Chambers, before unleashing an unstoppable shot between Petr Cech and the far post.

Georginio Wijnaldum feeds the ball wide right to Nathaniel Clyne, and his driven cross is thumped into the net first time by Philippe Coutinho.

49′ – Goal for Liverpool
Philippe Coutinho plays in Georginio Wijnaldum down the left, and he clips in a ball that Adam Lallana chests down before squeezing a shot between the legs of the advancing Petr Cech.

45+2′ – Goal for Liverpool
A wonderful free-kick equaliser from Philippe Coutinho. The Liverpool playmaker was held by Rob Holding, and responded by floating a 25-yarder over the wall and into the corner.

30′ – Goal for Arsenal
Alex Iwobi finds space to play a lovely ball through for Theo Walcott down the right who slots a shot across Simon Mignolet and into the far corner.

28′, 29′ – Penalty to Arsenal
Alberto Moreno slides in recklessly on Theo Walcott, and the referee gives a penalty. Walcott to take.
Not the greatest penalty from Walcott in truth, but Simon Mignolet gets across to his right and saves well.
