Everton 2-1 Aston Villa Highlights

Kevin Mirallas struck a superb free-kick to earn Everton a late victory over Aston Villa to move them into fifth position in the Premier League.

The 25-yard strike broke Villa’s resistance after the visitors defended Leandro Bacuna’s first-half goal.

Everton improved their tempo in the second half and levelled when substitute Steven Naismith steered in.

And when Mirallas scored five minutes from time, it put a positive slant on the week following defeat by Liverpool.
