Hull have won one and lost five of their last eight home games against West Brom. Most recently, they ended a three-match losing streak in this fixture with a 2-2 Premier League draw in January 2009.

This season’s reverse fixture ended 1-1, with Matej Vydra’s late equaliser earning a point for West Brom in caretaker boss Keith Downing’s first game in charge.

Hull City

Hull have picked up seven points from their 10 league games in 2014, the joint-worst record in the division alongside Cardiff.

The Tigers have earned just one point from their last five home games since beating Fulham 6-0, losing the last three.

They have not suffered four or more successive home league defeats in the same season since a six-match losing streak between September and November 1992 in the third tier. That run included a 2-1 loss against West Brom.

Their three league wins since Christmas have all come against the current bottom three, scoring a combined 12 goals without reply against Fulham, Sunderland and Cardiff.

Steve Bruce’s side have the division’s worst second-half record, scoring more goals than their opponents on only five occasions and being outscored 16 times.

Shane Long scored 22 goals in 87 games for West Brom.

Curtis Davies is expected to make his 300th league appearance. He played 73 games for West Brom in all competitions between 2005 and 2007.

West Bromwich Albion

West Brom earned their first win since New Year’s Day last weekend to give Pepe Mel his first victory in charge at the eighth attempt.

They came from behind against Swansea to win a Premier League match for the first time in a year.

Prior to that victory, Albion had only taken four points from 10 away games since beating Manchester United at Old Trafford in September.

The Baggies have conceded the opening goal on 20 occasions in the league this season – only Fulham (21) have a worse record.

They have failed to score before half-time in any of their last six games, as well as nine of the last 10, and in 22 of their 29 league fixtures this season.
