Head-to-head

This will be the first time the two sides have met in the top flight.

Burnley have won only one of their last seven games away to the Swans (D4, L2).

Swansea

Ki Sung-yueng’s opener against Manchester United on the opening day came after 29 completed passes – a longer build-up than any goal scored in last season’s Premier League.

The Swans have won four of their last five Premier League games and could win three successive top-flight matches for the first time since August 2012.

They won just six home league games last term.

Swansea conceded the most fouls (20) in the first round of Premier League matches.

Nathan Dyer could make his 100th Premier League appearance in this game, while Ashley Williams celebrates his 30th birthday on the day of the match.

Burnley

The Clarets conceded the fewest fouls (six)in the first round of Premier League matches.

They allowed fewer shots on target against them than any other team in the Championship last season (159).

But they have failed to keep a clean sheet in their last 28 Premier League matches.

The Clarets won just one of their 19 away matches in their only previous Premier League campaign, in 2009-10, losing 17 of those games.

However, they are undefeated away from home in the league in 2014, a sequence spanning 12 Championship matches (W6, D6).
