Head-to-head

Everton have won four of their last five Premier League home games against Chelsea. Since the 2009-10 season, only Manchester City have beaten Chelsea more during that period with five victories.

Chelsea have failed to score on four of their last six visits to Goodison Park in the league.

Last season, Chelsea’s first defeat of the campaign came at Everton when they lost 1-0 on 14 September.

Everton

Everton have only won two of their last seven Premier League games (W2, D2, L3).

They have scored in all 10 of their league matches at Goodison Park in 2014 – and they’ve found the net at least twice in each of their last seven games.

If games had ended at half-time this season, Everton would be top of the league.

Last season the only top-six team to win at Goodison Park was Manchester City.

Steven Naismith has scored or assisted a goal in his last four league matches. He also scored the winner in this fixture last season.

Chelsea

Chelsea have won their last four successive Premier League matches away from home.

Their only defeat in their last eight league games was a 2-1 loss to Sunderland at Stamford Bridge in April (W6, D1, L1).

The Blues have conceded just nine goals in 2014, fewer than any other ever-present Premier League side.

Striker Diego Costa has had two shots on target this season and scored with both.

Midfielder Cesc Fabregas has the most assists in the Premier League this campaign, with three so far.
