Well I don’t think that Liverpool dropping points at home is any surprise these days, and City will feel they have done well to get a share of the points at Anfield…

Once again Rafa’s innate caution means that Liverpool sat back at home, defending a one goal lead… you would think they would have learned by now!

And City’s Charlie T – having crossed the Manc divide because he wasn’t getting enough 1st team football – was once again on the bench – and being paid well to do so.
Adebayoor showed in the 1st half why Gooners weren’t overly upset to see him leave; he looked as though he really couldn’t be bothered… but, to be fair, few players did in a first half that, the first five minutes aside, produced nothing of any interest.

If things look gloomy for Liverpool, Man City’s quest for the heights looks to be rather running out of gas – they have drawn their last six games, and with Robino already with one foot out of the door there are going to be precious few top names who want to come to a team fighting to get into 4th place in the PL.

It will be interesting to see which of these two clubs part with their current manager soonest.
Personally, I think Rafa has already had it, but the owners will leave it to the season’s end before replacing him – I think Hughes will be gone in the new year if City aren’t in at least 4th place by then – and that seems to be the best either of these two can hope for…
