Newcastle have never lost at home to Wigan in seven league and cup games.

Its two draws from their last three trips to Tyneside for the Latics.

Newcastle have lost their last four league matches – equalling their Premier League record. They last lost four successive matches between Aug – Sep 2008, during their relegation season.

Since Alan Pardew signed his new long-term contract the Magpies have won just one of their nine Premier League games (D3 L5).

All 14 of Newcastle’s Premier League goals this season have been scored by French speakers.

The Magpies have scored just seven goals in seven league games at St James’ Park this term – Demba Ba (four), Hatem Ben Arfa (two) and Papiss Cisse (one).

Wigan

Wigan have lost three of their last four matches – conceding nine goals in the process.

Going into this latest round of Premier League matches on QPR (nine) had lost more league games than Roberto Martinez’s men.

Aston Villa and Wigan have each only scored four away Premier League goals this season.

Three of the Latics’ four league wins have come against last season’s promoted clubs. The exception being their away win at Tottenham.
