• Chelsea’s 4-3 win over Leicester in the League Cup in October 2007 was the only time these clubs have locked horns in eight years. It was also their 101st meeting. The London club have won 48, Leicester 24, with 29 all-square.

• The Stamford Bridge club have scored a total of 15 goals in winning their last five league and cup matches against the Foxes.

• Chelsea have also progressed on each of the four previous occasions they have been drawn against Leicester in the FA Cup. The most recent was in January 2000. They have never met as late in the competition as the quarter-finals.

    If you pass to your strikers, you would win games. The big Chelsea players (you know yourselves), they should be ashamed of themselves, trying to force out a top striker in their own team, just because of greed and selfishness plus wanting a long contract to stay on.
