Victory would see Burnley record a top-flight double over Stoke for the first time since the 1967-68 season.
The Potters have not won a top-flight match at Turf Moor since 1975, although that covers just one game – a 1-1 draw in the Premier League in 2010.
Victory at Hull was only Burnley’s second win in 15 league games.
They have scored just one goal in their last five home matches.
The Clarets are one of only two teams (along with Watford) to have played in more than one Premier League season and been relegated each time.
They have claimed 18 points at home – the joint lowest total in the top flight, along with Crystal Palace.
The Potters have 50 points – one more will be a new club record in the Premier League.
Their tally of 14 wins is their best since promotion to the Premier League. The last top-flight campaign in which they claimed more wins was in 1982-83, when they claimed 16 victories (in a 42-game season).
Mame Diouf has nine league goals this season, after the dubious goals panel ruled his strike against Tottenham last weekend was a Jan Vertonghen own goal.
Diouf now needs one more goal to become the third Stoke player to reach double figures in the Premier League (following in the footsteps of Ricardo Fuller and Peter Crouch).
Burnley are the only current Premier League side against whom Peter Crouch has yet to score.
