Head-to-head

Swansea are vying to complete the double over West Brom for the second successive season. They came from behind to win 2-1 at The Hawthorns 13 months ago, with goals from now-departed pair Gylfi Sigurdsson and Danny Graham.

West Brom have never lost four successive games in this fixture.

West Brom

Albion have lost six of their last nine league games, earning only seven points during that period.
They have won only four of the 21 Premier League games they have played in March.

The Baggies have 40 points from 28 games – their highest tally at this stage of a top-flight season since 1978-79.

West Brom are the only Premier League side not to have had an English goalscorer this season. Fulham (2001-02 and 2005-06) are the only club to have gone an entire season without an English scorer.

Midfielder Isaiah Brown, an unused substitute against Chelsea last weekend, could become the youngest player to appear in the Premier League, aged 16 years and 61 days. It would eclipse the current record – held by Fulham defender Matthew Briggs since 2007 – by four days. Brown would be West Brom’s second youngest debutant: Frank Hodgetts was 16 years and 26 days when he played against Notts Country in 1940.

Swansea

Swansea are attempting to register back-to-back league wins for the first time since November-December.

They have only once had more points at this stage of a top-flight season, in 1981-82. They finished sixth that season.

Michael Laudrup’s side have failed to win, or score, in four successive away matches in the league (D2, L2).

The Swans have only dropped two points from leading positions this season, the best record in the division.

Michu has only scored in one of his last eight league appearances, a brace in the 4-1 win over QPR.
