Aston Villa won their first league meeting with Cardiff for 38 years in November – a 2-0 victory at Villa Park.

Villa’s last win at Cardiff was 40 years previous, Ray Graydon scoring the only goal of the game.

Cardiff won 3-1 the last time the two clubs met in the Welsh capital – December 1974.
