A flying start for both City and their new striker will put confidence into the team and supporters – this year they must be considered genuine contenders at last. Though having spent something on the order of half a billion pounds on players one should expect nothing less.
This really was a David v Goliath contest, with a team who have climbed four divisions facing the might of the City Philistines… but no joy for the underdog this time, despite a heroic performance from the ‘keeper.

Swansea will have a hard time avoiding relegation, and City can enjoy success if Mancini is prepared to be a bit bolder than his usual negative tactics this year.

on a side note: where does this leave want-away Charlie T?
It seems that his owner has runout of options, as no-one can afford Tevez’ fee or wages, and Man City are rich enough not to be bullied by Kia. I rather suspect that clubs are also wary of Tevez’ notoriously bad attitude, causing problems at almost every club he has ever played for.
The City fans have a new hero in Kun, and we know Charlie T doesn’t like to play 2nd fiddle to anyone.
