The Reds beat the Bluebirds 3-1 on 21 December to move top of the league.

Cardiff City

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has won just two of his 10 league games since taking over at Cardiff (W2, D1, L7).

They have lost eight top-flight away matches in a row for the first time since December 1928 to March 1929, but have been defeated in just one of their last four home matches.

Cardiff have only scored six first-half goals in the league this season, the fewest in the top flight.

They have kept just one clean sheet in their last 14 league matches.

After their match with Liverpool, their next five fixtures are against West Brom, Crystal Palace, Southampton, Stoke and Sunderland.

Only one team (Arsenal) have kept a clean sheet against Liverpool in their last 17 Premier League away trips.

Liverpool have been awarded more penalties than any other top-flight side this season (10) and they have now won 126 penalties in Premier League history, more than any other club.

Olivier Giroud and Tomas Rosciky celebrate Arsenal's opening goal

Tottenham 0-1 Arsenal Highlights

Arsenal kept themselves in contention for the Premier League title as Tomas Rosicky’s early goal secured victory at north London rivals Tottenham.

Rosicky rifled in a sublime angled drive just minutes into the game after leading a swift break for the visitors.

Tottenham’s Emmanuel Adebayor flicked a shot wide in the first half, and they dominated after the break.

Nacer Chadli’s low shot was blocked on the line and Adebayor headed narrowly off target, but Arsenal held on.

The win means Arsenal are third in the standings but crucially now just four points off leaders Chelsea, who lost 1-0 to Aston Villa on Saturday, and with a game in hand.

They are unbeaten in the 16 league games in which they have scored first this season, winning 13 of those matches.

Of the 37 goals Tottenham have conceded in the Premier League, 20 have come in four games (home and away to Manchester City, plus away to Liverpool and Chelsea).

Head-to-head

Swansea are chasing a fourth consecutive win against Palace.

The last time they met, during the Swans’ promotion-winning campaign in 2010-11, the Welsh club won both encounters 3-0.

Both sides have been Football League members since 1920, but this will be only the 17th league game between the sides, and the first in the top flight.

Crystal Palace

Victory would see Palace win back-to-back Premier League home games for the first time since January 2005, when they defeated Aston Villa (2-0) and then Tottenham (3-0).

They have failed to score in nine of their last 16 league games (including play-off matches), scoring 13 times in total.

The Eagles have lost two of their last 26 games at Selhurst Park in all competitions (to Tottenham on 18 August and Birmingham on 29 March).

They have only delivered four crosses successfully to team-mates this season, fewer than any other Premier League side.

There have been 22 penalties (14 won, eight conceded) in Crystal Palace’s last 41 games in the Premier League.

Swansea City

A victory would mean the Swans win consecutive Premier League away games for the first time since November 2012, when they won at Newcastle (2-1) and then at Arsenal (2-0).

Michael Laudrup’s side have lost their last five games against London opposition.

The Swans have conceded seven goals this season, a tally
